Apex Contemporary Dance Theatre jumped onto the Colorado arts scene in 2008 with a mission to create a world-class dance company in a unique area, in the middle of the country away from the coasts. Founding directors Heidi Nichter and David Reuille formed a dynamic core of talented artists and exploded into their first season carried by one simple statement: that artistry should not be defined by geography, but by creativity, passion and vision.
However, the founders also understand the importance of a local community. Apex is dedicated to spreading the relevance and life enriching aspects of dance to all of Colorado and the surrounding areas, no matter the level of exposure to the arts or geographic location. This blog was created to help realize that mission by giving everyone a chance to learn something new about an art that we love.
